The Linn Akurate DSM 3 is a wonderful preamp (outputs: balanced, unbalanced, digital) and includes the famous Katalyst DAC. The Akurate DSM is the one with inputs, so expect an improvement in the sound reproduction of other components you plug into it, even a turntable (it has a MM/MC phono) and TV (it has 4 HDMI inputs).
